Rolling over!

Emma has learned how to roll over from her tummy to her back. She has done it three times to the right and twice to the left. I just couldn't wait to share the news!


It's amazing to see how much better she is at holding her head up now and rolling over. Here's the video.

Emma's Immunizations

Taking Emma for her 2-month well-baby check-up and to get her shots wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. She did great. I finally caved and gave her some tylenol a few hours later so she could sleep.

Emma is growing well. She's still only ten and a half pounds, but is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. She has also reached all of her 2-month-old milestones.

Yea Emma! Keep growing healthy and strong!

Emma talked us into buying a camcorder so we could record some of her precious moments. She slept in her carseat while her dad picked one out. Here are a few of the videos we've taken.

Here is Emma sucking her thumb. This is the second time she found it that night, but she hasn't been able to find it since.

There isn't much to read here. I really just needed a place to keep this video for easy access. Our internet filter has blocked the other vacuum video we used and will probably block this one as well because of people's comments. So IT IS WHAT IT IS, huh Jake.

Worst time of day: Evenings (usually lasting until 12:30 or 1!)
Favorite people: Mom, Dad, Grandma, anyone who will talk to or play with me.

Social smile: Mom claims 2 weeks, Dad things it was about 6 weeks. Likely somewhere between the two.
First time going to a restaurant: 1 week old. Really? What was mom thinking? But I slept the whole time.
First outing: To the doctor the day after coming home from the hospital.
Cooing back in conversations: 5 weeks
Taking a bottle: Still working on it..
Sleeping for at least 4 hours at night: In week 1 sometime!
First bath at home: 5 days old
Longest conversation: Seemed like ten minutes yesterday with mom.
Longest sleep: almost 7 hours!

Emma's Pictures

Emma had her pictures done on Monday by my favorite Oregon Aunt and Uncle, Jer and Laren Woolley. Here are my favorites. I'll also post the other pictures we've taken. I think we've taken more pictures in the 3 weeks Emma has been around than we've taken since our honeymoon. Enjoy!







These pictures aren't nearly as elegant and they include the pictures from the hospital. It's fun to see how much she is already growing up. I think she's looking less and less like me as she grows.
